 About the organization:

RURAL ECONOMIC & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (RESDO) is a nonprofit community based organization working towards women empowerment, education and livelihood promotion. RURAL ECONOMIC & SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (RESDO) aspires to improve the living conditions of the poor and marginalized by adopting strategies through community initiative, participation and sensitization. The organization has worked among backward communities in the interior unreached pockets of Manipur. Women self help groups have been taken as the base for all interventions and livelihood activities enabling them to contribute towards mainstream development process.

Chief Functionary-(RESDO)

The executive team is led by Mr. Serto Rocky Kom - President is the founder of RESDO and he has been in the development sector and with RESDO for 14years has over 10 years of experience working with various development agencies.

Mr. Serto Rocky Kom - President has strong knowledge and grassroots level experience in livelihood promotion, capacity building, networking, program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Born and brought up in a same community, he is familiar with all targeted villages and their socio economic issues. His experience and leadership skills will therefore help smooth sail of the project. To his credit he had won The E365 Entrepreneur Challenge Championship in recognition of his achievement First Class in his First year at Strong Future International (SFI). He has been instrumental with her visionary contributions in various livelihood programs towards upliftment of rural communities through various models developed by RESDO

S Heneichong Kom is the secretary of the organisation and holds specific experience of 12 years in the development sector. She is also practicing nurse at NHPC Hospital. Loktak Project. Manipur.

S.Sunita Kom,

Mrs Sunita is Graduate in Agriculture with more than 5 years of experience in farm management, training and entrepreneurship development.

Her major work includes selection of Agri business in rural areas in these programs, wherein the trainees are exposed to potential agri-ventures that are uniquely positioned to succeed in that area. Once they get first hand feel of such ventures, the candidates are provided the subject matter trainings to enhance their skills and know-how.

Jangamlung Panmei, Finance Secretary, From Zeihkuluang Village

He holds a Bachelor degree in Agriculture and Food Business from NEHU, Meghalaya. He has also organized Extension Activities and Farmer Engagement Programs. He is also a Program Coordinator of Self Help Groups and other farmers’ bodies to engage in policy debate at National and State level with concerned agencies and stakeholders including the Governments.

He coordinates dynamically at National, State, District, Regional as well as International Level with Farmer Leaders and Stakeholder for effective redressal of issues in a systematic manner.
